With two decades in the film festival world, Colleen’s experience is focused on programming and festival production. She has worked for festivals across the United States and Indian Country, and also curates film events independently and with partnering organizations. Her curatorial interests explore non-fiction, Indigenous film and stories from the global majority, and experimental and form-expansive narrative approaches.

Currently, she programs for the Oscar-qualifying festivals Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival and MountainFilm, is the Indigenous Shorts Programmer at Tacoma Film Festival, and is a board member and programmer at Indian Territory Film Festival. Colleen is also the Project Producer for the PBS series Native Lens, and the co-creator of Kinship Frame, a Black / Indigenous - focused film curatorial project hosted at Dreamland Tulsa.
